This journey will take me right the way round the continent of South America, 25,000-odd km of stunning coastline, mountains, glaciers, islands, deserts, wildlife and people. How long will it take? It’s hard to say but I’m aiming for a year.
Ideally I’ll set off towards the end of 2012 or the start of 2013, during the Argentine Summer. This will mean I can tackle Patagonia whilst the weather is at its best and will be out of the Andes before those mountain temperatures start to really drop.
What I can say for certain is that I’ll be blogging and uploading photographs as often as I can along the way. I want the journey to be an interactive experience so visitors to the site can keep a track of my progress and share their own thoughts and experiences. It’ll also be a great way for me to keep in touch with the folks back home!
